Poem: my favorite undoing
Mar. 15th, 2018 07:29 amthere is a part
of my heart
that is polarized
to your wavelength
that pulls me closer
to where you are
which is never
here
I feel the tug
my heart pushing
against a cage
my ribs
a prison
where all secrets
live and die
common sense
says to ignore
this feeling
to pretend
this endless
ache
is merely
memory
but how can I
forget
my favorite
undoing
when it's standing
so near
when it's standing
right here
of my heart
that is polarized
to your wavelength
that pulls me closer
to where you are
which is never
here
I feel the tug
my heart pushing
against a cage
my ribs
a prison
where all secrets
live and die
common sense
says to ignore
this feeling
to pretend
this endless
ache
is merely
memory
but how can I
forget
my favorite
undoing
when it's standing
so near
when it's standing
right here
